Brussels, Jan 24 - Feb 6 2026
During two weeks open source enthusiasts, people working in the public and private sectors and citizens are going to mingle to build together an open source village.
Every day will have a different theme (days will be assigned shortly)
How do we parent in this digital age? What are the open source tools at our disposal for the education of our kids?
There is no village without houses. How can we build more sustainable houses and keep housing cheap so that everyone can stay in the village?
We need things. Sometimes they break, resources are limited. How do we build open source things that are easy to repair?
No democracy without freedom of speech. How do we build our own stack where the algorithms are here to serve our communities, not just the market?
It takes a village. We canβt do it alone. How do we rebuild our communities? What are the tools to manage them? Open source tooling for managing communities
How do we allocate the resources in our communities in an open and transparent way? How do we make sure our economy is in the service of the wellbeing of the community?

The center of the village will be in the center of Brussels, at the Commons Hub (just in front of Central Station). But there will be other events / meetups in various different places in the city.
Come present your open source project. Best is to propose a 10mn presentation or a 1h workshop.
Reach out to discuss the different opportunities. The more budget we have, the more we will be able to take good care of all those people that contribute so much all year long to the open source community.
Your logo and roll up will be at all times present during the village.
Your logo and roll up will be present during the day of your choice (based on the theme of the day)
Bring your community together, have a drink, some food.
For up to 80 people.
The village is a great opportunity to bring different stakeholders together. Take the opportunity to reserve a meeting room so you can have some focus time together.
